Opening ceremonies will be held Friday, Aug. 11 at Bloomer Park from 6-8 p.m., and will include free food, free Kona Ice and entertainment.
The Michigan Senior Olympics has opened registration for individuals 50 and over for the 38th annual Summer Games, taking place from Friday, Aug. 11 to Sunday, Aug. 20 in Rochester Hills.
Registration will be open until Friday, July 21.
Events include archery, badminton, basketball, billiards, bocce ball, bowling, cycling, dancesport, disc golf, pickleball, powerlifting, 5k and 10k races, race-walking, racquetball, shuffleboard, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track and field, triathlon and volleyball.
