Trisha Harris – Executive Paralegal
Trisha Harris has her Business / Marketing Degree, Photography Degree, and Paralegal Degree from Oakland University where she earned a 3.9 GPA. This is coupled with more than 10 years of experience as an Executive Paralegal in Estate Planning and Elder Law. Trisha has also worked as a Paralegal in Immigration, Business Law, Contracts, Family Law, and Marketing. At the Rutkowski Law Firm, she is the Executive Assistant and Paralegal to Michael L. Rutkowski.
Trisha is the mom of three amazing kids. When she’s not at work you’ll find her exploring and photographing everything from portraits to abandoned buildings. She also loves working out and anything sports related. Trisha is a stereotypical Canadian who loves hockey, Canadian bacon, Tim Hortons coffee, and even says “eh” and “sorry about that” a lot.
Sarah Upfall – PARALEGAL
Initially, Sarah pursued a degree in Accounting while attending Oakland University. However, a life-long goal to be in the legal field, along with a keen eye for legal matters, led to a change of course. She obtained her Paralegal Degree from Oakland Community College in 2017. Sarah completed her internship with the Rutkowski Law Firm and is now the legal assistant. She assists the firm with all of its legal matters.
Sarah is an avid car enthusiast. She spent five years as a Registered Importer licensed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Sarah is also a devoted mother to her son and spends much of her spare time engaging in family activities.
Coleen Giniel – oFFICE mANAGER
Coleen Giniel earned her Bachelors of Science Degree from Michigan State University. Through her various professional roles, Coleen brings over 20 years of managerial experience and organizational skills to the Rutkowski Law Firm.
Coleen enjoys meeting each of the Firm’s new clients. She makes it a priority to create a positive client experience and to ensure that client needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Coleen has been married for over 22 years and has 3 boys. She is very active in cancer foundations, particularly The Angels of Hope, as she lost her son, Jack, when he was just 4 years old. Coleen enjoys playing tennis, crossfit, knitting, and traveling.
Shelby Hruska – marketing aSSISTANT
Shelby Hruska is currently a student at Oakland Community College, pursuing a degree in Business Administration. Shelby has over 5 years of experience working in a professional office environment. She excels in customer service and enjoys communicating with clients. Shelby is a part of the Rutkowski Law Firm’s marketing team, and she handles all social media accounts, event planning, and advertising.
Outside of the office, Shelby loves spending time with her new puppy named Cannon and cat Callie. Shelby is a wine connoisseur and loves to travel to Traverse City for wine tasting. A lifelong dream that she has always had is to travel to all 50 states in the United States.
Linda Isho – laW CLERK
Linda Isho was granted a full ride to Wayne State University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Management. After graduating from Wayne State in 2013, Linda attended Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in hopes of going into Corporate Law. Linda was on the board for the Environmental Law Society at Cooley, a member of the Saint Thomas More Society, and was the Alternative Dispute Resolution teaching assistant for the Honorable Bryan H. Levy, before graduating in January 2018.
In Fall 2017, Linda completed her Externship with the Rutkowski Law Firm, where she got first-hand experience with Business Law. Soon after the externship ended, Linda received a position in the firm as a Law Clerk. Her time at the firm is mainly spent drafting contracts, researching, as well as working on some estate planning matters.
Outside of work, Linda enjoys spending time with family and friends. Prior to 2017, she was a catechism teacher at her church, where she began teaching at the age of 11. Linda spent most of her employment career as a manager at a local grocery store, and later went on to be a manager at a small boutique. At the end of the day, she looks forward to spending most of her time with her younger sister and niece.
